The stylish and safe Mazda2 range continues to evolve with the introduction of a sporty new G15 Pure SP variant.
Offered on the hatch, the G15 Pure SP adds black accents to the exterior and interior to enhance the styling of the Mazda2’s most popular grade.
G15 Pure SP builds on the comprehensively equipped G15 Pure grade with black 16-inch alloy wheels, black exterior mirrors, a black grille and chrome exhaust extension. Inside, black cloth upholstery with red trim completes the look.
Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi, said the new grade will elevate the G15 Pure grade, which accounts for over half of Mazda2’s 2021 sales.
“In 2021 Mazda2 has demonstrated its ongoing appeal and strong safety credentials, with increased sales and share in the light vehicle segment,” said Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi.
Additionally, all Mazda2 models become safer with the inclusion of rear seat belt reminders across the range.
On the exterior front, Platinum Quartz Metallic is new to both Mazda2 Sedan and Hatch ranges, while Polymetal Grey – already available on Hatch – is now optional for Sedan, too.
The updated Mazda2 will go on sale toward the end of 2021.
Engaging and Efficient: The Mazda2 Drivetrain
Powering the 2021 Mazda2 range is the familiar 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G four-cylinder petrol engine.
This high-compression (13.0:1) naturally-aspirated powerplant generates 82kW and 144Nm while consuming only 5.3L/100km when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission, or 5.4L/100km when paired with a six-speed manual transmission. G15 Pure SP will be available as automatic only.
