Mazda 3 – the newest model of Australia’s most popular small car takes design, refinement and driving enjoyment to a whole other level. While the Neo, Maxx and Maxx Sport have 2.0 litre in-line 4 cylinder 16 valve, the Diesel variant has a 2.2 litre engine and the SP 25 and a 2.5 litre one. The 2.0 liter engines have a 148 horsepower engine with 135 pound-feet of torque while the 2.5-liter engine boasts of 167 horsepower and 168 pound-feet of torque.
6 speed manual transmission and 5-speed Auto transmission are on all cars except for the Diesel which doesn't have the automatic option.
The interior has a great layout with improved ergonomic design and instrument panel layout. There is an increased use of soft-touch materials and heightened craftsmanship - driver and passengers alike will feel even more at home. The rear seats in the hatchback fold down 60/40, which nearly doubles the amount of cargo room.
Combining the Mazda Zoom Zoom, with a family car's requirements, the Mazda3 shows sporty performance and very good fuel economy.
Safety features have been enhanced with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and traction control as standard features across the range. Other standard safety features include ABS, Electonic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA).
